After six years together, Coldplay star Chris Martin and Hollywood actor Dakota Johnson are engaged, with the full support of Chris' ex-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, and their children, Apple and Moses.

Though the couple reportedly got engaged some time ago, they chose to keep it private until now.

According to The Mirror, they are now more open about it within their circles. Chris, 47, and Dakota, 34, have been deeply in love since the start of their relationship, making their engagement a natural progression.

Chris and Dakota reportedly aren't hurrying to plan the wedding and are enjoying the process of formalizing their commitment.

Dakota, known for roles in ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ and ‘Madame Web,’ was spotted wearing an emerald green ring on her wedding finger at her 34th birthday celebration in LA last October. This public display of commitment coincided with Dakota expressing her desire for motherhood and her affection for Chris' children, Apple and Moses, from his previous marriage. She emphasized her deep bond with them and how much they hold a place in her heart.

The couple's relationship began in 2017, following Chris and Gwyneth's separation announcement in the previous year. Last year, Gwyneth shared a photo of Dakota and Chris holding hands, receiving a positive response from fans. Dakota emphasized the importance of chosen family, stating, "The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb," underscoring the significance of chosen connections over biological ones.

Chris, married to Gwyneth for 11 years before their 2014 separation, has been transparent about their conscious uncoupling and positive co-parenting relationship. Their divorce finalized in 2016. Dakota, having never been married, previously dated Jordan Masterson and Matthew Hitt.

As Chris and Dakota embark on this new chapter together, fans eagerly anticipate the future for the happy couple.
