Emma Roberts is set to walk down the aisle soon. The ‘We're The Millers’ star announced her engagement to actor Cody John on July 16 via an Instagram post, where she can casually be seen flaunting her diamond ring.
The post was captioned, ‘putting this here before my mom tells everyone,’ followed by a heart emoji.
Lindsay Lohan, Nina Dobrev, and Isla Fisher congratulated the couple in the comments section.
The announcement was unexpected, given Roberts' usual privacy about her romantic life. While the couple is preparing for marriage, details about the wedding date and venue have not been disclosed yet.
Roberts and John made their Instagram debut as a couple in August 2022 when John shared a photo of them kissing on what appeared to be a yacht.
Later that year, Roberts also showcased their relationship on her Instagram, sharing pictures of them holding hands and other moments from her life.
"#2022 I loved you. happy new year hotties!," she captioned one of the posts.
In February, John celebrated Roberts' birthday with a photo and the caption, ‘happy birthday sheesh.’
Despite occasional social media posts, the couple has generally kept their romance private.
In a Cosmopolitan interview, Roberts discussed her choice to maintain privacy about her love life: ‘I never want to discuss relationships I'm in, ending, or have ended. It's tough enough to be with someone privately, let alone with an audience,’ she told the outlet in 2019.
Before John, Roberts was in a relationship with Garrett Hedlund, with whom she shares her son, Rhodes, who is 3 years old.
Emma Roberts is renowned for her roles in films such as ‘Aquamarine’, ‘Nancy Drew’, ‘Wild Child’, ‘Valentine's Day’, ‘It's Kind of a Funny Story’, ‘The Art of Getting By’, ‘We're The Millers’, ‘Palo Alto’, ‘The Blackcoat's Daughter’, ‘Nerve’, ‘Who We Are Now’, ‘Paradise Hills’, and ‘Holidate’. She has also been a part of the anthology horror series ‘American Horror Story’ and ‘Scream Queens’.
