Director Todd Phillips confirmed the sequel of his 2019 film 'Joker,' starring Joaquin Phoenix, in an Instagram post on Tuesday (June 7). He shared the cover of the script, titled 'Joker: Folie à Deux,' penned by Phillips and Scott Silver. His post also included a picture of Phoenix going through the script.
'Folie à Deux' means shared psychosis or shared delusional disorder.

The original 'Joker' narrated the story of Arthur Fleck, a struggling comedian, who became the ultimate villain of Gotham City towards the end of the film.
The 2019 psychological thriller film grossed over $1.07 billion worldwide and emerged as the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time. It earned 11 Oscar nominations, winning Best Actor for Phoenix and Best Original Score for Hildur Guðnadóttir.
