Donald Trump might be a Swiftie. His interview in a new book seems to suggest so. The former president of United States mentions Taylor Swift in the book where he talks about his time as a reality star. “Apprentice in Wonderland: How Donald Trump and Mark Burnett Took America Through the Looking Glass,” is written by Variety co-editor-in-chief Ramin Setoodeh.

Trump calls Taylor 'beautiful'

A Variety exclusive report mentions that when Setoodeh asked Trump about his views on Swift, he went on to praise the pop icon. “I think she’s beautiful — very beautiful! I find her very beautiful. I think she’s liberal. She probably doesn’t like Trump. I hear she’s very talented,” he said.

Trump however realises that Swift might not feel the same way about his political ideology.  “She is liberal, or is that just an act?” he asked Setoodeh during their interview. “She’s legitimately liberal? It’s not an act? It surprises me that a country star can be successful being liberal,” he added

Swift’s political leaning

While Trump seems to be a Swift admirer, the TTPD songstress had chosen Democratic candidates to support in 2018. The singer later went on to support Joe Biden and Kamala Harris in 2020. Taylor Swift became even more vocal and wrote openly against Trump. In the wake of the ‘Black Lives Matter’ movement, she had targeted Trump.  “After stoking the fires of white supremacy and racism your entire presidency, you have the nerve to feign moral superiority before threatening violence? ‘When the looting starts the shooting starts’??? We will vote you out in November,” she posted on X. The global pop sensation has not made any endorsement or views public for the upcoming elections.

“Apprentice in Wonderland” also includes Trump’s opinion on other celebrities including Kim Kardashian, Debra Messing, Omarosa Manigault, Geraldo Rivera, Martha Stewart, Arnold Schwarzenegger and more.
