From ‘Klaus’ to ‘Home Alone’: Five Christmas films that you watch on OTT platforms

Christmas is here and it is time to create memories with family and friends, and watch some feel-good movies.

We’ve selected a few movies for you this festival that are streaming on various OTT platforms. 


‘A Boy Called Christmas’ – streaming on Netflix

Starring Henry Lawfull, Toby Jones, and Sally Hawkins, this film is based on one of Matt Haig’s bestselling books of the same name. The film narrates the story of a boy named Nikolas who sets out on an adventure into the snowy north in search of his father and discovers the fabled village of the elves, Elfhelm. Taking with him a headstrong reindeer called Blitzen and a loyal pet mouse, Nikolas soon meets his destiny.

The Gil Kenan directorial will definitely make one happy and is perfect for the occasion.

‘Klaus’ – streaming on Netflix

Directed by Sergio Pablos, this animated holiday comedy shows how a selfish postman and a reclusive toymaker form an unlikely friendship and deliver joy to a cold, dark town that desperately needs it.

‘White Christmas’ – streaming on Amazon Prime

This 1954 American musical romantic comedy, directed by Michael Curtiz, is about two army friends who get romantically involved with a sister act and team up to save the failing Vermont inn of their former commanding general.

‘Arthur Christmas’ – streaming on Amazon Prime 
Starring James McAvoy, Hugh Laurie, and Bill Nighy, this family animated comedy shows how Santa's son Arthur sets out on a mission to deliver a little girl's Christmas gift that has been misplaced owing to a technical glitch.

‘Home Alone’ – streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar 
The Christmas comedy film, directed by Chris Columbus, focuses on Kevin, an 8-year-old boy, who is accidentally left behind at home when his family leaves for France on a Christmas vacation. Initially, he is happy to be in charge, but when thieves try to break into his home, he puts up a fight to save his home.
