Henry Cavill, who announced that he is expecting his first child with Natalie Viscuso in April, shared a heartwarming Father's Day post. The ‘Superman’ star took to Instagram to seek parenting advice from his followers.
The ‘Man of Steel’ star shared a selfie taken in a nursery, with a crib and changing table in the background.
‘Happy Father's Day ye dads out there,’ he captioned the photo.
‘Turns out I shall be joining your hallowed ranks soon! Any tips??’, he asked.
The actor added, ‘Don't worry, pillows won't be in the crib when the wee one arrives, just glue and scalpels so he or she can build Warhammer miniatures.’
Cavill is set to star in and produce a cinematic universe for Amazon based on ‘Warhammer 40,000,’ a futuristic war game featuring miniature figures representing humanity's conflict with various threats. A longtime ‘Warhammer’ fan, Cavill collaborated with Viscuso to secure the Amazon deal.
The ‘Enola Holmes’ star, who confirmed his relationship with Viscuso in 2021, previously hinted that he was expecting a child. In an April interview with Access Hollywood, he mentioned that his parents inspired him to become a father.
‘I'm very excited about it,’ he said. ‘Natalie and I are both very excited. I'm sure you'll see much more on that,’ he added.
On her Instagram Story, Viscuso wished a happy Father's Day to ‘the soon-to-be father of my first child,’ adding, ‘Overflowing with love and excitement over here!’
Viscuso has described Cavill as the "greatest man I have ever known" and expressed her pride in him after he appeared on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter in 2021.
Cavill is best known for his role as Superman in the DC Extended Universe, beginning with 2013's ‘Man of Steel,’ as well as Geralt of Rivia in the Netflix series ‘The Witcher.’
