The Oscar slap incident was the talk of the town in 2022. Now, almost a year after the infamous slap, Jada Pinkett Smith revealed that the controversy saved her marriage with Will Smith. The actress spoke about her marriage and said that before that unfortunate night, she was figuring out if she wanted to be with her husband Will.

Talking to Daily Mail, Jada said, "After all those years trying to figure out if I would leave Will’s side, it took that slap for me to see I will never leave him." The duo tied the knot in 1997 and gained recognisation as a power couple. However, a few months ago, Jada revealed that she does not live with her husband for the past 7 years.
Further talking about the slap, the actor said, "I call it the ‘holy slap’ now because so many positive things came after it." She ended by saying that she was glad to witness all that happened on the stage unfold in front of her eyes.
For the uninitiated, Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at the 94th Academy Awards after he made a joke about his wife's alopecia.
This interview comes just days after Will discussed their marriage issues at the Red Sea International Film Festival.
