‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S’ star Jennifer Aniston has opened up about trying to get pregnant through in-vitro fertilization but says that ‘the ship has sailed’. In a cover story published in Allure on November 9, she talked about her emotional fertility journey and how being a public figure it was challenging to be under intense media scrutiny.

‘I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road. All the years and years and years of speculation... It was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it. I would've given anything if someone had said to me, 'Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.' You just don't think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed,’ she told Allure magazine.

The actor further said that she has zero regrets. She said she actually feels a little relief now because there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.’

‘I have spent so many years protecting my story about IVF. I'm so protective of these parts because I feel like there's so little that I get to keep to myself. The [world] creates narratives that aren't true, so I might as well tell the truth. I feel like I'm coming out of hibernation. I don't have anything to hide,’ Jennifer told Allure.

She also talked about her previous marriages with actors Justin Theroux and Brad Pitt and slammed claims that she did not have children because she just cared about her career.

‘It was absolute lies. The narrative that I was just selfish... I just cared about my career. And God forbid a woman is successful and doesn't have a child. And the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn't give him a kid,’ she said.

Jennifer Aniston was also asked whether she would get married again. To which she replied that she wishes her next love is 'not necessarily somebody in the industry.'

‘Never say never, but I don’t have any interest. I’d love a relationship. Who knows? There are moments I want to just crawl up in a ball and say, ‘I need support.’ It would be wonderful to come home and fall into somebody’s arms and say, ‘That was a tough day,’ she said.

Jennifer Aniston won hearts with her portrayal of Rachel Green in the NBC sitcom ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S.’ She currently stars in the Apple TV+ series ‘The Morning Show’.
