Jennifer Lawrence will be starring and producing 'The Wives,' a murder mystery that is in the vein of 'The Real Housewives'. She will be joined by Justine Ciarrocchi, her partner at the duo's Excellent Cadaver production banner, as well as Jeremy O. Harris and Josh Godfrey, for production. The script for the project has been penned by Michael Breslin and Patrick Foley. The name of the director has yet to be revealed.

JLaw's new project

The project has been acquired by Apple Original Films, per variety, calling it a 'Highly competitive situation'. It is currently in development, so no word on the final plot or when it might shoot. However, it has been described as "being partly inspired by the Real Housewives franchise, which focuses on the soap operatic and over-the-top theatrics of well-to-do women in areas ranging from Orange County to Miami to Atlanta."

Lawrence's recent projects

Lawrence was last featured in the R-rated comedy 'No Hard Feelings' and Leonardo DiCaprio starrer 'Don't Look Up. She was also a part of 'The Hunger Games'. Next up, she has 'Burial Rites' and a remake of 'East of Eden' in the works. Lawrence is also set to star in a biopic about Hollywood talent agent Sue Mengers and a true-crime film titled 'Mob Girl.'
