Joe Jonas files for divorce from Sophie Turner; states marriage is ‘irretrievably broken’

Singer Joe Jonas and ‘Game of Thrones’ alum Sophie Turner have decided to part ways. Joe filed for divorce in Florida on September 5, according to public records obtained by CNN. The petition states the ‘marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.’

The duo is parents to two daughters who were born in 2020 and 2022.

Jonas is seeking shared custody. According to the filing, he and Turner have a prenuptial agreement.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner first met in 2016 through Instagram. Jonas had sent Turner a direct message. They started dating soon after and got engaged in October 2017.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner had two weddings in 2019, a spontaneous one in Las Vegas on May 1, right after the Billboard Music Awards, where they exchanged Ring Pops as rings; and a more formal one in France on June 29, at Le Château de Tourreau in Sarrians, surrounded by their family and friends.

The pair welcomed their first child, Willa, in July 2020. A year later, they announced that they were expecting their second child. They welcomed their second daughter In July 2022.

On the work front, JoeJonas alongside his brothers, is currently on a successful musical tour, while Sophie has been involved in various TV and movie projects.
