For the unversed, during the six-week-long defamation trial, Johnny Depp mentioned that he would not return as Jack Sparrow in the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' franchise even if he was offered a huge amount of money.

Earlier this month, Johnny Depp won the $50 million defamation case against his former wife Amber Heard. In a Washington Post op-ed, published in 2018, Heard had called herself a 'domestic abuse suvivor' which massively impacted Depp's career. Films such as 'Fantastic Beast 3' and 'Pirates of the Caribbean' refused to sign him.
