The trailer for 'Joker: Folie à Deux' or 'Joker 2' is finally here. In the sequel, Joaquin Phoenix's Arthur Fleck aka The Joker is joined by Lady Gaga's Harley Quinn. While Joker remains the focal point of the trailer, it's his chaotic romance with Harley that takes centre stage this time around.
The trailer sees Arthur meeting Harley for the first time at a mental asylum, with the two instantly forming a formidable bond. Celebrating each other's crazy, the two soon set themselves free and begin wreaking havoc as a dangerous duo: Joker and Harley. Folie à Deux in French translates to “delusion or mental illness shared by two people in close association.”
Directed by Todd Phillips, the film also stars Zazie Beetz, Catherine Keener and Brendan Gleeson. The film is written by Todd Phillips and Scott Silver. Touted as a 'jukebox musical', the film will reportedly have at least 15 reinterpretations of very well-known songs.
'Joker: Folie a Deux' is set to open in theatres on October 4.
