Liam Payne’s girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, has paid a heart-wrenching tribute to the late singer, revealing he handed her a note before his tragic death, detailing plans for their future together, including marriage.
The 31-year-old singer fell 45 feet from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires on October 16, sparking an outpouring of grief.
Alongside a black-and-white photo of the couple embracing, Kate, 25, said her heart is ‘shattered,’ calling Liam her ‘best friend, the love of my life.’ She spoke lovingly about his infectious energy and confessed she's struggling to figure out how to live without him.
Kate shared that the two often wrote notes to each other, manifesting their future together. Liam’s note, which he had asked her not to open, revealed his hope to marry her within the year and promised they'd be ‘together forever.’
It’s unclear whether she opened the note before or after his death.
In a touching detail, Liam added the numbers 444, a sequence Kate has used in her tributes, representing angelic support during difficult times.
Posting sweet memories on Instagram, Kate shared snapshots of their time together, including moments at Disney Land, in the snow, and with their rescue dog, Nala, who Liam hoped would be part of their ‘nice and loving family.’
