Marvel's top superheroes came together to celebrate Kevin Feige.

The Marvel Studios president, who has overseen the highly successful Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise, became the 2,785th person to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles.

Feige appeared in Hollywood alongside Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, stars of Marvel Studios' latest release ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’, just ahead of the film’s theatrical release on July 26. Other Marvel actors attending the ceremony included Chris Evans, Chris Pratt, Brie Larson, David Harbour, Simu Liu, Ke Huy Quan, Kathryn Hahn, Emma Corrin, and Sebastian Stan.

More about Feige

After starting his career as an assistant on movies like Volcano and You've Got Mail, Kevin Feige began working as a producer on superhero films based on Marvel characters, starting with the first X-Men movie in 2000.

Feige has been credited as a producer, co-producer, executive producer, or assistant producer on nearly every Marvel movie since.

In 2006, Marvel Studios named Feige president of production, and he is credited with kickstarting the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with 2008's Iron Man.

In 2019, Feige was promoted to chief creative officer across all of Marvel's film and television content, as reported by Deadline.

‘You don’t expect to get a star on the Walk of Fame when you’re a behind-the-scenes person,’ Feige recently told Variety of the honour.

‘That’s all my dream ever was — just to be a name in the credits of a movie, to have a spot in this industry, in this town that I love unabashedly, with no cynicism at all. The notion that there’ll be my name on that street for forevermore is extremely, extremely meaningful to me,’ he said.

‘It means a lot. It means that literally you’re going into the foundation of Hollywood history. I really liked the idea that these are names that — as the projects people make come and go in relevance or in memory — you can go to a place in Hollywood and still see the people that made this town what it is,’ he added.
