Just hours before his tragic death at 31, former One Direction star Liam Payne was notably active on social media.
The musician was traveling with his girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, who featured in several videos from his last Snapchat posts, which were shared from a friend's house.
In a selfie-style video from the hotel breakfast table, he appeared relaxed and happy, saying, “Lovely day in Argentina,” while playfully teasing Kate for leaving a hat on the table. “Children,” he jokingly muttered in the clip.

‘It’s a lovely day here in Argentina,’ he continued, showcasing a beautiful view of a grassy backyard, palm trees, and clear blue skies. ‘This is the breakfast table. Just enjoying coffee and breakfast, even though it’s 1 p.m.,’ he said.
Kate then added, ‘Literally, we sleep in every day until at least 12. We’re such losers!’
Payne’s last Snapchat Story featured a mirror selfie of him and his girlfriend, both in swimsuits.
However, after the news of Liam’s death, it was reported that Kate had returned to the U.S. just days earlier. She had been active on TikTok, sharing snippets of her time in Argentina, which included fun moments with Liam and her return to Florida, where she expressed joy at being back in the Sunshine State. Just two days before Liam’s passing, she posted a video of her solo flight home.Top of FormBottom of Form
Kate has not yet publicly commented on Payne’s death. The couple began dating in October 2022.
