31-year-old Liam Payne left his fans, friends and family with a vacuum that will remain forever. Investigation is underway into his death. Drugs to suicide, all angles are under probe. Those who loved Liam are mourning his demise across the globe but as a young artist the former One Direction singer was reportedly working on multiple projects which remain in jeopardy after his death.
Liam had signed a show with Netflix titled ‘Building the Band’. According to reports, Liam was one of the judges and mentor on the show. AJ McLean from the Backstreet Boys was the host while Nicole Scherzinger and Kelly Sun were the two other judges besides Liam Payne. He had reportedly filmed the auditions two months ago. The Netflix show was scheduled to be released next year but there is a cloud of doubt over the same.
Liam was also part of a Boyband documentary series ‘Boyband Forever’ which would deal with the reality and challenges of the musicians in a boyband. Just like the Netflix series, there is a doubt over its release.
Liam’s death has also sparked discussion on the tragedies of early fame and pressure. Taken aback by the sudden death of Liam Payne, fans are wondering what could have been done, especially when Liam had himself shared his struggle with addiction.
Guy Chambers, one of the UK’s songwriters suggests that artists under the age of 18 should not be pushed into pop stardom. He said that putting a 16-year-old in an adult world like that is potentially damaging.
