Rapper Lil Baby was arrested in Las Vegas on the charge of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. According to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the rapper was taken into custody on the Las Vegas Strip. The rapper was released from custody after posting bond and is due in court in Las Vegas on October 1.
Lil Baby’s attorneys said that he had a valid permit in Georgia to carry a concealed weapon. However, Nevada does not recognise permits issued in Georgia and hence the crime amounts to a felony there.
This is not Lil Baby’s first brush with the law. He was arrested in Atlanta in 2019 for reckless driving and in 2021, he was caught with weed in Paris. The 29-year-old rapper is a Grammy winning rapper who has hits like ‘The Bigger Picture’, ‘Yes Indeed’ and ‘Drip Too Hard’ to his credit.
