The cast of 'Modern Family' came together for the first time after the finale was aired in 2020. Sofía Vergara, who hosted her co-stars at her residence, took to social media to share some pictures from their get-together and expressed her gratitude for the 11 remarkable years spent with the cast.

Sharing a series of photos, Sofia said she's lucky to have worked with these people for 11 years.

‘First Modern Family reunion!!!!,’ Sofia exclaimed.

‘So lucky to have worked with these people for 11 years. I love and miss u all guys!!! #modernfamily,’ she wrote.

The photos featured Ariel Winter holding a picture of Ty Burrell's character, Phil Dunphy, a snapshot of Winter and Sarah Hyland posing together, and a group photo with Vergara, Hyland, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and his husband, Justin Mikita.

The camaraderie and laughter echoed through the images, capturing the essence of the tight-knit family forged during the show's 11-season run.

The reunion included familiar faces such as Julie Bowen, Eric Stonestreet, Rico Rodriguez, Nolan Gould, and Aubrey Anderson-Emmons.

Co-creators Christopher Lloyd and Steven Levitan also joined the festivities.

Ty Burrell, who played Phil Dunphy on the show, gave the party a miss, but the reel family made sure to include him in the photos.

Vergara had shared a video of Burrell’s photo on her mantelpiece alongside the caption, ‘We miss u Ty!!’

Those who saw the photos were left momentarily shocked after assuming that Burrell was no longer with us.

After several messages of concern appeared in the comments section a few people were forced to step in to point out that Burrell is very much alive.

‘THIS MADE ME THINK HE WAS DEAD I PANICKED,’ one concerned fan wrote. Another wrote, ‘Please never ever do this again. Thought he’s gone!!’

The ABC comedy, which aired from 2009 to 2020, garnered an impressive 22 Emmys, including five consecutive wins for Best Comedy Series.
