The 2024 MTV Video Music Awards have been delayed by a day. The decision has been taken to avoid a clash with the upcoming US presidential debate.
Republican nominee Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris will participate in a debate on September 10. Interest is significantly higher in the first Trump-Harris debate. Hence, MTV has decided to postpone the date of the 2024 VMAs from September 10 to September 11 to avoid the clash.
Chappell Roan, Sabrina Carpenter, Camila Cabello and GloRilla are among the artists performing at the awards. Meanwhile, Taylor Swift leads the nominations for the awards with 10 nods. BTS member Jungkook is also among the list of nominated artists.
