Oscars 2023: The 95th Academy Awards were held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles. 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' dominated the Oscars, winning seven awards, including best picture, best actress, best director, best editing, best supporting actor, best supporting actress and best original screenplay.
Michelle Yeoh is the first Asian best actress winner for her role in the 'Everything Everywhere All at Once.'
'All Quiet on the Western Front' won four awards, mainly in the technical categories.
India bagged two Oscar awards- 'RRR's 'Naatu Naatu' won in the Best Original Song category and 'The Elephant Whisperers' won in the Best Documentary Short Subject category. All That Breathes was also nominated for Best Documentary Feature Film, but it lost to 'Navalny'.
Ruth E Carter won her second Oscar under the Best Costume Design category for 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever'. With this, she created history by becoming the first Black woman to win multiple Oscars in any category.
The event was hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, who kicked off the ceremony with a joke about Will Smith’s slap last year.
