Princess Diana's brother's novel 'To Catch A King: Charles II's Great Escape' to get on-screen adaptation

A novel written by (the late) Princess Diana’s brother Charles Spencer titled, "To Catch A King: Charles II's Great Escape" is all set to get an onscreen adaptation.

The story will be written by Academy award-nominated writers Steve Coogan and Jeff Pope. However, it is not yet confirmed yet if the novel would be adapted as a film or as a series.

The story revolves around true events from the life of King Charles II of England, who took a six-week escape from Oliver Cromwell’s army, who had overthrown the monarchy and publicly executed Charles’s father.

Published in October 2017, the novel is based on intriguing stories which revolve around the prince, who even disguises himself as a servant in order to evade the troops.

The London-based production company ‘Baby Cow’ has bagged the adaptation rights of the film.
