Priyanka Chopra or Deepika Padukone? Here’s who Russo Brothers picked as new Captain Marvel

The Russo Brothers are friends with their ‘Citadel’ star Priyanka Chopra and they are letting the world know. The director duo, who are producing the actor’s debut web show, were recently asked a hypothetical question on who should play the new Captain Marvel, Deepika Padukone or Priyanka Chopra? They were quick to pick the latter. In a clip that is doing the rounds online, Anthony and Joe Russo said they are huge fans of Priyanka and also good friends with her. 

 ‘We are working on a project. We are producing a show, ‘Citadel’,’ they said.

The video from the recent press conference of the Russo Brothers' film, ‘The Gray Man’, in Mumbai. 

Anthony and Joe directed a mid-credits scene in the 2019 film ‘Captain Marvel’,  in which the titular character meets Avengers.

In a previous interview with indianexpress.com, Joe Russo said Priyanka is an incredible star. 

‘I mean I think she has been amazing. We just had a table read of the show a couple of days ago and it was fantastic. We are so proud of that show. We are excited for audiences to see it. We are just beginning production on it now,’ he said.

Priyanka wrapped up the shoot of ‘Citadel’ a few weeks ago. She now has Hollywood films Ending Things’ and ‘It's All Coming Back’ in the pipeline along with Farhan Akhtar's ‘Jee Le Zaraa’, co-starring Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt.
