Due to a surge in Omicron cases in the U.S., the Golden Globes 2022 will be conducted in a private manner.

The event organisers took to Twitter to announce that Golden Globes will not be live streamed. The organisers wrote on Twitter, "This year's event is going to be private and will not be live-streamed."

The tweet further read, "We will be providing real-time updates on winners on the Golden Globes website and our social media."

The Golden Globe Awards are organised by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) and are considered among the most prestigious awards in Hollywood.

Earlier this week, the HFPA shared that there would be no red carpet at the event.
