We can never have 'Kenough' of Ryan Gosling. The 'Barbie' star is all set to take centre stage at the 96th Academy Awards to perform his iconic, 'I'm just Ken' song from 'Barbie' live at the prestigious ceremony, per Variety.
'Barbie' star Ryan Gosling will bring his infectious 'Kenergy' to the Oscars. The actor is slated to perform the Oscar-nominated track 'I’m Just Ken' at the upcoming ceremony. Gosling has maintained his silence about the prospect of performing at the Oscars; however, it seems like he's just pumping up to establish his 'Kendom' at the starry night.
Earlier, Ryan expressed ambiguity about performing at the event. "It might be too much of a risk to have me do it," he admitted earlier this month to Variety. "I don't know how that would work. But I'm open to it."
Apart from 'I'm Just Ken' being nominated for Best Original Song, the film 'Barbie' has bagged six nominations at the Oscars 2024. The Greta Gerwig directorial, also starring Margot Robbie, has been nominated for the following categories: Best Picture, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Production Design, and Best Costume Design.
Meanwhile, the song 'I'm Just Ken' has garnered critical acclaim, winning Best Song at the Critics Choice Awards 2024. Presently, the track along with 'What Was I Made For?' by Billie Eilish and Finneas are the two 'Barbie' tracks that have secured Best Original Song nomination at the Oscars.
Oscars 2024 are slated to take place on March 10.
