Scarlett Johansson is all set to join the next Jurassic world film. The actor confirmed the update herself and even shared some details about the upcoming project. The film is being helmed by Gareth Edwards, the director of ‘Godzilla’.
The Hollywood actor revealed that she will be headlining the next ‘Jurassic World’. Expressing excitement, Johansson said, “I am an enormous Jurassic Park fan. It is the first movies I remember seeing in theatres. I remember it so vividly. It was life-changing and mind-blowing. I cannot express how excited I am.”
Unlike the original ‘Jurassic World’ trilogy starring Chris Pratt, the upcoming film will reportedly have a completely different storyline. Talking about it, the actor said that the movie’s script is ‘so incredible’. “David Koepp wrote it and returned after 30 years to write it and he’s so passionate about it,” she added.
Johansson also revealed that the movie has been on her bucket list for quite some time and she has been pursuing this role for more than 10 years. “I’ve been trying to get into this franchise in any possible way for over 10 years. I’m like, ‘I’ll die in the first five minutes! I can get eaten by whatever! I’ll do the craft service!’ I’ll do anything for it. The fact that it’s happened this way at this time is unbelievable.”
The film will reportedly be shot in multiple locations including Thailand, Malta and the UK. According to Variety, several other big names are associated with the project. Besides Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, David Iacono, MAhershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Luna Blaise, and Manuel Garcia-Ruflo will also be seen in the film. Steven Spielberg is executive producer of the film while ‘Jurassic Park’ producer Frank Marshall is also joining aboard with his producing partner Patrick Crowley.
All the three ‘Jurassic World’ films have been box office blockbusters. The trilogy has earned over 1 billion dollars worldwide.
