Taylor Swift expressed her gratitude to her fans for the incredible response to her latest album, 'The Tortured Poets Department.' She shared a heartfelt message on her official social media handle and also expressed her excitement for her upcoming Eras Tour concert in Paris.

Taylor Swift posted a series of pictures from her latest album and wrote, ‘My mind is blown. I’m completely floored by the love you’ve shown this album. 2.6 million ARE YOU ACTUALLY SERIOUS?? Thank you for listening, streaming, and welcoming Tortured Poets into your life. Feeling completely overwhelmed. I was already so fired up to get back to the tour but you doing THIS?? May 9th can’t come soon enough (sic).’

Taylor Swift's album ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ sold 2.61 million album and streaming units in its debut week in the US, according to Billboard. This massive debut secured the album the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart. Traditional album sales accounted for 1.91 million units, including digital downloads, CDs, cassettes, and 859,000 vinyl sales. These figures are based on data from Luminate.

'TTPD' sets record

Taylor Swift's latest album, 'The Tortured Poets Department', has made history by becoming the first album to surpass 300 million streams in a single day on Spotify. Spotify itself celebrated this achievement as a historic moment. Specifically, on April 19, 2024, 'The Tortured Poets Department' achieved this milestone, a feat that had not been accomplished before.
