Taylor Swift’s Sydney concert sees an unexpected visitor, viral video shows fans being evacuated

An unexpected storm hit Taylor Swift’s 'The Eras Tour' Sydney concert. As fans were enthusiastically singing along to their favorite anthems this unforeseen event occurred, leading the organizers to evacuate the floor section to prioritize everyone’s safety. Despite the disappointment of the interruption, concert attendees remained composed amidst the stormy weather. The organizers have released a statement on X addressing the situation. 

Taylor Swift's concert at Accor Stadium, Sydney gets delayed

As fans were waiting excitedly to witness their favourite singer, an unexpected storm disrupted the concert. The Accor stadium staff were quick enough to evacuate the floor and made sure everyone's safe. According to a report by Hindustan Times, there was a huge storm accompanied by lightning strikes, which hit just an hour before the  performance was about to begin on Friday, February 23.

Organizers released a statement on X addressing the situation

Per reports, the interior of the stadium has been filled with water and the organisers have priortised everyone's safety. Amidst the anticipation of whether the show will be cancelled or not, the organisers have issued a statement on X:

The floor and lower bowl are currently being evacuated due to lightning strikes nearby the stadium at today's show of Taylor Swift's 'The Eras Tour' in Sydney, Australia. Please stay safe and seek shelter for now #SydneyTSTheErasTour

 

The show is back on!

Even though delayed, the show was started soon. It was being attended by Katy Perry, Rita Ora and Taylor's boyfriend, Travis Kelce. 

Sabrina Carpenter was also about to open up for Night 1 of Taylor Swift's 'The Eras Tour' in Sydney, Australia but unfortunately she could not due to the weather delay.
