Australian actor and director Simon Baker, best known for his role in the CBS drama series ‘The Mentalist’, pleaded guilty to a charge of driving under the influence. The 55-year-old actor avoided a conviction as he appeared before court for sentencing.
Simon Baker, who had a blood-alcohol level above the legal limit of 0.05%, was released on a nine-month good behavior bond with no conviction recorded. Baker had admitted to drinking four glasses of wine over dinner. He showed remorse, cooperated with police, and has since completed a rehabilitation program.
