Announcing its entertainment accolades for 2022, TIME Magazine has named Malaysian actor Michelle Yeoh as Icon Of The Year. In May, Yeoh was included in TIME magazine’s list of Most Influential People of 2022.

Michelle has received immense appreciation from critics and fans for her performance as Evelyn Wang in 'Everything Everywhere All at Once' (2022).

This announcement was followed by the magazine’s recognition of K-pop group BLACKPINK as the Entertainer Of The Year.

BLACKPINK has become the second K-pop band ever to earn this title after BTS. Significantly, no other all-women group has received this recognition.

Applauding the band, the magazine wrote, "BLACKPINK is this generation’s icon that leads the trend, and is the largest female band in the world."
