Watch: Drake shares video of his flooded Toronto mansion: ‘This better be espresso martini’

Drake’s luxurious mansion was flooded during the record breaking severe rainfall and flooding. The Canadian singer-rapper shared a video on social media from his home, which he often refers to as ‘The Embassy’ and made a humourous joke about the distressful situation.  

Drake’s ‘The Embassy’ submerged 

Nature’s fury didn’t spare Drake’s estate. Taking to his Instagram stories, Drake shared a video clip of his home. The video shows muddy brown water inside the rapper’s mansion in Toronto. Two people appeared to be trying to clean the mess. Drake made a joke about the situation and wrote, ‘This better be espresso martini’ on his Instagram.  

About Drake’s Toronto mansion 

Referred to as ‘The Embassy’, the 50,000 square-foot mansion, is a luxurious property boasting of several amenities. Drake himself conceptualised the mansion with Canadian architectural and interior designer Ferris Rafauli.  

Toronto flash floods 

The city has been reeling under flash floods as three huge storms and severe rainfall created havoc. The heavy downpour broke the record established in 1941. Several areas reported power cuts while many people were reported stranded. According to BBC, over 1,00,000 citizens were left without power on July 16 due to the violent storm. Flooding has impacted the daily lives in many parts of the city and the officials have urged the civilians to be cautious.
