Almost 10 years after his shocking departure from One Direction, Zayn Malik has announced his first solo tour. As part of his 'Stairway to the Sky' tour, the singer will be on the road across the US and UK.

While Malik has not confirmed the dates of his upcoming performances, he crashed Jimmy Fallon's The Tonight Show to make the bombshell announcement. The musician shared that more details will soon be made official.

Appearing next to Jimmy Fallon during the live show, Zayn plays a snippet of his music on his laptop, before handing the host a note which read: 'Hey Jimmy, great to see you mate. I'm going on my first-ever solo tour this autumn so maybe when you're done picking apples with your buds, you can come check out my Stairway To The Sky Tour across the US and UK. I'm making an official announcement tomorrow morning, let me know what date you want tickets for'. (sic)

Earlier this year, Zayn performed his first solo concert in London. He performed a sold-out headline show at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire, serenading fans with tracks from his most recent album, 'Room Under The Stairs.' Previously, Malik has spoken about his mental health and the anxiety he faces when performing.
