Rajinikanth starrer ‘Jailer’ is doing wonders at the box office and the film’s producer is very happy with the superstar. Sun Pictures owner Kalanithi Maran met Rajinikanth at his residence and handed over a cheque to him for his share of film's profits.
He also gave him multiple models of BMW cars to choose from and Rajini chose BMW X7.
Reportedly, the film has earned Rs 570 crore globally. It made ₹325.80 Cr India net. It stands as second highest box office grosser of Tamil cinema with ‘2.0’ being the first which crossed Rs 700 crore.
The film depicts the story of a retired jailer named Tiger Muthuvel Pandian, who goes on a mission to save his son from the grip of a smuggler.
‘Jailer’ released in theatres on August 10 in 10 languages. It also features Vinayakan, Ramya Krishnan and Vasanth Ravi in lead roles.
