'Jawan' director Atlee credits Shah Rukh Khan for film's success

‘Jawan’ director Atlee visited Mumbai’s iconic single screen theatre Gaiety Galaxy on Thursday to see the audience’s reaction to the film.  As he came out after watching it, he praised Shah Rukh Khan. 

As Atlee stepped out of the theatre, he was asked about Jawan’s huge opening. He said, “Love everyone. Everyone is loving back. Everyone loves Shah Rukh Khan.” He added, “It is all because of Shah Rukh sir.” 

'Jawan' has been designed as Shah Rukh’s first pan-India release. It also stars Nayanthara, Vijay Sethupathi in prominent roles. The film is also high on woman power with Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Riddhi Dogra, Girija Oak and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya also among the cast members.  

The film tells the story of a man who sets out to correct the wrongs of society. It was shot across Pune, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan and Aurangabad. 

‘Jawan’ was released worldwide in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi.
