Special CBI Court in Mumbai has given its final verdict in the Jiah Khan suicide case after 10 years. After actor Aditya Pancholi’s son got a clean chit in the case, Jiah’s mother Rabia Khan’s lawyer said, that they will appeal in a higher court after studying the judgment.
Reacting to the verdict, Rabia said, ‘The judgment is not surprising. I anticipated this Our battle is still on. We will appeal.’ She also added, ‘The CBI never took interest in the case.’
while pronouncing the much-awaited verdict, special CBI Judge A S Sayyed said that due to paucity of evidence, Sooraj has been held not guilty. ‘You stand acquitted,’ he said.
Jiah Khan, who was seen in films like ‘Housefull’, ‘Ghajini’ and ‘Nishabd’, was found dead at her home in Mumbai on June 3, 2013.
