ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo has confirmed his appearance at the upcoming Waterbomb Seoul 2024 festival. The K-pop idol-turned-actor was unveiled as a surprise guest in a recent poster tease. Reports also suggest that ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman may also attend the event on July 5, although their participation details are still pending confirmation.

‘The wait is over! Join us for a special moment with secret guest Cha Eun Woo. Get ready for Cha Eun Woo’s magic at WATERBOMB!’ announced the official Waterbomb website on July 4th. The event will take place at 1 PM KST at the Outdoor Global Stage of the KINTEX Exhibition Center 2.

The impressive roster features Zico, Simon D, Jay Park, Changmo, Taemin, Minho, Hwa Sa, and Sunmi. Excitement is high, speculating if Cha Eun Woo will gain the title 'Waterbomb God' at his debut.

According to South Korean media outlet OSEN, earlier reports suggested that Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman might visit Korea for the event. However, event organizers declined to confirm, stating, ‘We cannot provide an answer at this time. We have no further comments.’

The news picked up momentum when the pair, currently promoting Deadpool and Wolverine, arrived in Seoul on July 3rd with filmmaker Shawn Levy. They attended the ‘LG Twins vs. Kiwoom Heroes’ match at Gocheok Sky Dome.

On July 4, K-pop idol and GOT7 member BamBam shared photos from his meeting with the Hollywood actors.

BamBam interviewed the pair and shared details about the same on his X handle, writing, ‘Bambam x Deadpool and Wolverine. Watch the full interview on @MarvelThailand on 14 Jul and go watch this summer blockbuster, Marvel Studios’ Deadpool & Wolverine 24 July in theaters (sic).’
