BLACKPINK’s Jennie opts out of 'My Name is Gabriel', agency says not considering Variety Shows

Following her departure from YG Entertainment for independent activities, Jennie was rumoured to be focusing on her acting career. Recently, K-media suggested that the 'Idol' star will feature in the variety show 'My Name is Gabriel,' also starring Park Bo Gum and Ji Chang Wook. Now, as per the latest report, while Jennie indeed received the casting offer, she has rejected the proposal.

Jennie declines 'My Name is Gabriel' 

A representative from the 'My Name is Gabriel' production team confirmed the K-pop sensation has decided not to appear in the show. “Jennie has decided not to appear in My Name is Gabriel," the representative said. 

Jennie’s newly-formed agency ODDATELIER also confirmed the same, “Jennie earlier received a casting proposal for the new variety show. However, she has decided to decline it.” It further added the 'One of the Girls' crooner is currently not considering any variety show. 

Jennie's latest activities

Since wrapping up the groundbreaking 'BORN PINK' world tour last year, Jennie has not been a part of BLACKPINK's activities, as YG has yet to announce the group's schedule for 2024. Currently, the singer is keeping up with her variety show, 'Apartment 404'. Recently, she also surprised fans with her new track, 'Slow Motion' with Matt Champion.
