Jennie of BLACKPINK is going SOLO! The K-pop star has signed a new solo record deal with Columbia Records. The new deal is in collaboration with Jennie's own agency, Odd Atelier, which she launched in December last year.

With her latest move, Jennie aims to break into the global music sphere, following in the footsteps of her bandmate Lisa. Jennie announced the bombshell news on her TikTok account. Her first new single on her Columbia record deal is set to be released in October.

While BLACKPINK as a group still operates under YG Entertainment, all four members are not signed under the company for their individual activities.
