After reports of her solo album set K-town abuzz, Jennie's agency has now released a statement. The BLACKPINK member's independent label, OA (ODD ATELIER), has briefly responded to the reports of her solo comeback.
On March 31, a representative of OA addressed the reports of Jennie dropping her debut solo album. The rep simply denied the reports, saying, “Nothing has been confirmed.” The statement from Jennie's agency came hours after several media reports suggested that the Idol star is currently busy with preparations for her solo album, slated to release in June 2024. Jennie's upcoming album would mark her first solo comeback since leaving YG Entertainment and establishing her own label, OA (ODD ATELIER), in 2023, for independent activities.
Jennie, as a soloist, is no longer managed by YG Entertainment. However, BLACKPINK, including Lisa, Rose, and Jisoo, as a group, continues to operate under the label. For her solo activities, Jennie has launched her own agency, OA.
Jennie first made her solo debut in 2018 with the smash hit “SOLO,” and she recently released the special single “You & Me” this past October. Her latest song, 'Slow Motion' with Matt Champion, was also praised by fans.
