About the incident

On June 13, Jin held an in-person hug event to mark the ‘BTS FESTA 2024’ celebrations. At the event, he met his fans, greeted them and offered free hugs. This was the first fan-meet event that the singer has held after his military discharge.

While most of the fans were overwhelmed to see their favourite idol and meet him in-person, a few of them crossed the line and tried to kiss Jin. Videos of these incidents have gone viral on social media. The singer can be seen looking uncomfortable and turning his face away. The videos led to massive outrage on social media.

The eldest member received a warm welcome from his bandmates, who reunited outside his military base. Group’s leader, RM, played ‘Dynamite’ on saxophone to welcome Jin while other members hugged him.
