BTS’ RM donates 100 million won to military veterans' fund on his 30th birthday

Kim Namjoon aka RM of the popular South Korean boy band BTS is celebrating his 30th birthday today (September 12). Known for his philanthropist undertakings, the 'RPWP' rapper marked his birthday by donating 100 million won to the Veterans' Fund through 'Everyone's Veterans' Dream'. He is currently serving his mandatory military service. 

According to K-media reports, the BTS leader made this donation to participate in the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs 'Uniformed Service Appreciation Campaign'. His gentle donation would be put to use to provide welfare and treatment to uniformed service personnel and their bereaved families.

On September 12th, RM expressed his thoughts through his agency BigHit Music, “I have recently witnessed the dedication of many individuals in the field who have served the country. I hope this small contribution can help all the heroes currently dedicating themselves to the nation and those who have worked for peace. I also want to sincerely thank ARMY (fandom name), who always shower me with love and support.”

RM is currently serving his mandatory military service. He is expected to be discharged by 2025.
