BTS member Suga, who will soon begin his military service, had a heartfelt interaction with fans during a live Weverse session. The singer asked his fans ‘not to cry,’ as he plans to reunite with them after completing his military service in 2025.
‘Hello, it’s nice to see you. It’s me, Suga. I cut my hair a bit. My hair is very short, right? I can’t get used to it too. The staff could not recognise me,’ he said.
He shared that after wrapping up his August D tour in Seoul, he took some time to rest and spend quality time with his family and friends.
‘After the concert, I was only resting for about 2 weeks cause I had body pain. So I was resting a lot. I spent the remaining time with my family,’ he said.
Suga also mentioned that he won’t be able to continue Suchwita during his military service, but he has filmed a lot of content for the show that fans can look forward to in the future.
‘I can’t do Suchwita anymore. But I filmed a lot! Please look forward to it,’ he said.
As he concluded the live session, Suga said, ‘I’d be lying if I say (I’ll return) soon. So let’s meet in 2025.’
BTS members J-Hope and Seok Jin also sent strength and love to Suga.
In South Korea, all able-bodied men aged 18-28 are required to serve in the military for about two years. All BTS members had been allowed to put off starting their military service until they turned 30. SUGA turned 30 on March 9. BTS — also comprising RM, Jimin, V and Jungkook — hopes to reunite as a group around 2025 following their service commitment.
