BTS leader Kim Namjoon, more prominently known by his stage name RM, dropped the music video for the pre-release track ‘Come Back To Me’ from his second solo album, ‘Right Place Wrong Person’. Composed by Oh Hyuk Oh of the Hyukoh Band with lyrics penned by the rapper himself, the indie pop genre track features Taiwanese musician Kuo of Sunset Rollercoaster on guitar and bass. The song was first heard at BTS member Suga's Agust D's 'D-Day The Final' encore show at the KSPO Dome in Seoul in August 2023, where RM made a special guest appearance.
The six-minute-long video sees RM assuming various roles: he's a friend always available for his peers, a married man who prioritises his wife and child, and a lover boy engaged in a heated argument with his girlfriend. At one point, he is also seen taking on the role of a child sitting in a pram while his parents try to woo him with their funny antics.
In the second part of the video, the musician comes face-to-face with his real self. Suddenly, he sees himself enjoying every role that he plays. At last, he walks happily, hand-in-hand with the love of his life. The music video also features actor Kim Min-ha, known for her starring role in 'Pachinko', alongside Lee Min Ho. Lee Sung-jin, known for his critically acclaimed Netflix satire 'Beef', has directed the music video.
While Namjoon's vocals have always been impressive, he has now taken fans aback with his poignant acting chops.
'Right Place, Wrong Person', RM's second solo album, is set to arrive on May 24 and will feature 11 tracks “infused with alternative music and rich sounds,” according to the press release.
The BTS leader is currently completing his mandatory military service along with fellow BTS members Jin, J-hope, Suga, Jimin, Jungkook, and V. All seven members will be reunited in 2025, as per BTS agency HYBE.
