Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won starrer ‘Queen of Tears’ remains on top for seventh week straight

‘Queen of Tears’ starring Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won maintained high ratings in its seventh week as well. The show has been receiving immense love from the audience and has led to the show marking several milestones. The drama witnessed its highest viewership ratings for Saturday.  

The K-drama received 20.2 per cent average nationwide viewership, marking a new benchmark in the show’s success story. The ratings are expected to get higher on Sunday. The show remains one of the most-watched series across all time slots for the day. 

The K-drama of the year continued to shatter records as it already surpassed the ‘Crash Landing on You’ ratings in Seoul and received 1 billion views across tvN’s social media channels. 

About ‘Queen of Tears’  

The tvN drama stars Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Ji Won, Park Sung Hoon, and Kwak Dong Yeon in the lead roles. A chaebol heiress falls in love with a lawyer and get married. The drama follows the story of the couple finding love again after falling apart.  

Given the success of the series, the makers recently announced two special episodes of the show offering behind-the-scenes insights. These episodes will be released after the original finale episode on April 28.

Kim Soo Hyun, known to be the highest paid actors of the South Korean entertainment industry, is very selective about his shows. The actor made his comeback with ‘It’s Okay Not to Be Okay’ after his military enlistment and took a break of two years before coming back with ‘Queen of Tears’.
