Lee Sun-Kyun’s death: Agency asks people to refrain from spreading or believing rumours

South Korean actor Lee Sun-Kyun, who is best known for his role in the Oscar-winning film ‘Parasite’, was found dead in his car amid a drug case investigation. The news has sent shock waves among his fans and several theories behind his death are being circulated online.

Now, his agency HODU&U Entertainment has issued a statement and urged people not to spread misinformation.

According to Allkpop, the statement reads, ‘This is HODU&U Entertainment. We are sorry to bring you sad news. Actor Lee Sun Kyun passed away on December 27. There is no way to contain our sorrow and despair.’

‘We respectfully ask that you refrain from spreading false facts based on speculation or speculation and malicious reports based on them so that the deceased's final journey will be in peace. The funeral will be held quietly with the bereaved family and colleagues in attendance. We express our deepest condolences on the deceased's final journey,’ it ended.

About Lee Sun Kyun's death

According to Seoul Seongbuk Police Station, Lee Sun-Kyun was found unconscious in a car parked in Waryong Park. The police reportedly went in search of Lee Sun-Kyun’s vehicle after his wife claimed that the actor left the house after writing what seems to be a suicide note.

Later, in the morning, he was confirmed to have died.

As per Soompi, police discovered evidence of lit charcoal briquettes inside the actor’s car and they are reportedly suspecting his death may have been due to suicide. However, investigation in the case is still underway.

The news of Lee Sun-Kyun’s death comes amid an ongoing drug investigation involving him. The actor was being investigated by the police on charges of illegal drug use.
