South Korean actor Byeon Woo Seok’s airport controversy continues to grab headlines. ‘Lovely Runner’ star’s security company will reportedly be questioned by police in connection their coordination with the airport staff.
Byeon woo Seok’s security staff took some over-the-top measures earlier this month when the actor was at the airport. The security team allegedly blocked a large part of the airport causing inconvenience to passengers, illegally checked their passports and flashed lights to prevent them from filming the actor. The issue has snowballed into one of the major controversy and has even reached the National Assembly.
Byeon Woo Seok’s security team will be questioned about their coordination with the airport staff. The security company will also clarify whether their actions were in collaboration with the airport staff. The bodyguards who blocked the entrance and the one who used a flashlight on other passengers will be summoned for questioning besides the CEO of the security company. The bodyguards might be charged for obstruction of business and coercion.
Meanwhile, CEO of Byeon Woo Seok’s security company has stated that all the security operations were conducted in coordination with the airport authorities. He also said that the company will submit footage showing airport staff’s presence at the scene during the incident. The security company CEO emphasised that their company had consulted with the airport security division and conducted all the tasks in close coordinatin with airport staff.
According to South Korean media outlet reports, Byeon Woo Seok’s agency, Varo Entertainment, has decided to part ways with the security company after the controversy. The decision comes after a detailed report on the controversy involving the actor’s security guards.
