‘Queen of tears’ finale: Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won starrer beats ‘Crash Landing on You’ ratings

Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won starrer ‘Queen of Tears’ premiered its much-anticipated finale episode on April 28 and yes, it has happened! The popular K-drama's last episode has broken the record of highest viewership ratings held by ‘Crash Landing on You’.  

‘Queen of Tears’ surpasses ‘Crash Landing on You’ 

‘Queen of Tears’ is the new ‘King of dramas’ as the series broke the previous record held by ‘Crash Landing on You’. It has become the highest-rated drama in the history of tvN network. The previous record was held by Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin’s romance drama ‘Crash Landing on You’. Both the records were created by the finale episodes of the shows. 

According to Nielsen Korea, the finale episode of ‘Queen of Tears’ achieved nationwide average rating of 24.85 %. The previous record set by the finale of ‘Crash Landing on You’ was of 21.683%. 

The cast and crew of ‘Queen of Tears’ recently held a wrap-up party to celebrate the massive success of their series. The entire team including the leading stars Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won, were left stunned when a large number of fans gathered to support the cast.

'Queen of Tears' follows two people with very different upbringings and familial backgrounds who fall in love with each other. With miscommunication and lifestyle differences, their marriage eventually turns sour. Fed up with the monotony of their lives, the husband decides to break free, but things come crumbling down when he comes to know about his wife's sickness. Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won play the primary couple, and the ensemble cast includes Kwak Dong Yeon, Park Sung Hoon, Yoon Bomi, Lee Joo Bin, and others.
