Fans of K-pop star Mingyu are furious and rightly so. In a disgusting breach of privacy, a staff member of luxury brand L’Occitane leaked private pictures of the SEVENTEEN member on social media. The leaked pictures were taken during a commercial shoot and shared by the employee on their personal social media account.
The luxury brand posted an apology and took the full responsibility for the incident. In their statement, L’Occitane Korea apologised to the artist and fans. The employee in question has been suspended following the outrage.
SEVENTEEN fans, known as CARATs, are not satisfied with the apology and action. Upset fans are demanding the person’s termination. They also slammed and questioned the brand for allowing their employees to take unauthorized pictures of the artist in the first place.
SEVENTEEN star Mingyu was appointed as the first brand ambassador by L’Occitane in the Asian region in May this year.
