K-pop sensation Stray Kids has made history with their new mini album, ATE. The 7-member group is the first to score 5 consecutive No. 1 entries on the US Billboard 200 chart with this release. The mini album, released on July 19, 2024, includes four tracks: ‘Mountains,’ ‘JJam,’ ‘I Like It,’ and ‘Chk Chk Boom,’ the latter of which is also featured in the official soundtrack for Marvel’s ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’.

Billboard’s official website has announced that the K-pop group Stray Kids from South Korea’s latest album, ‘ATE’, reached No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 chart on July 28. The album sold 232,000 units in its first week, marking Stray Kids’ fifth consecutive No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Their previous chart-topping albums include ODDINARY (March 2022), MAXIDENT (October 2022), ★★★★★ (5-STAR) (June 2023), and 樂-STAR (November 2023), according to AllKpop.

This achievement makes Stray Kids the first group in Billboard history to score five consecutive No. 1 entries. Globally, they rank second only to DMX for debuting five consecutive albums at No. 1 on the Billboard charts.

Stray Kids first gained global recognition with ODDINARY and set their sights on further international success.

Their management, JYP Entertainment, reported that ATE is the highest-selling K-pop album of 2024 and the sixth highest-selling album overall for the year. Of the 232,000 units sold, 218,000 were albums, making ATE the top-selling album worldwide for 2024, surpassing Taylor Swift’s The Tortured Poets Department. Additionally, Stray Kids claimed the Top Album Sales title for the week of August 3, and their title track 'Chk Chk Boom' debuted at No. 30 on the UK Official Singles Chart Top 100.

The K-pop group will next headline Lollapalooza Chicago on August 2, capping off the summer festival. Following that, they will embark on their largest tour to date, the Stray Kids World Tour – DOMINATE. The tour will launch with four concerts in Seoul on August 24-25, 2024, and August 31 and September 1, 2024.
