K-pop company HYBE and its subsidiary label ADOR are finding it difficult to stay away from headlines. While HYBE is facing the heat for Suga’s DUI controversy and chairman Bang Si Hyuk’s pictures with controversial streamers, ADOR’s CEO Min Hee Jin has found herself in a new controversy.
On August 8, an alleged former employee of ADOR revealed sexual harassment and workplace bullying with a statement and a series of pictures. On August 13, the alleged victim accused Min Hee Jin of covering up the incident. The ADOR CEO allegedly insulted the victim for complaining and shielded the executive.
Korean media outlets have reported that the accused ADOR executive is the same who planned the ADOR takeover with Min Hee Jin. According to reports, he joined hands with ADOR CEO to allegedly conspire against HYBE.
ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin rebutted the allegations made against her. She said that the employee in question was not harassed by the company. According to her, the employee was incompetent, and her ineptitude was such that many employees in the company thought of her as a ‘junior’.
For the unversed, HYBE and ADOR CEO are amid an ongoing feud where Min Hee Jin is accused of plotting to take over the company. Apart from the allegations and counter-allegations from both the parties, the matter is currently in court.
