Will Jin of BTS make his acting debut? Singer shares update, asks fans to wait for just a little longer

BTS singer who recently returned after completing his military service shared update on his current activities. The eldest member of the world-famous boyband also interacted with his fans and answered their queries on fan community Weverse.  

Jin shares update on current activities 

The ‘Super Tuna’ singer revealed what he has been upto since his military discharge. On June 30, 2024, Jin posted on Weverse and said that he has been ‘recording and filming variety shows’. He also revealed working on his new plans that he made during his time in the military. The ‘Astronaut’ singer said that he wants to show his face to fans a lot more. Promising that the projects that he is working on will be out in a few months, Jin urged fans to wait for a little more.  

Jin on acting debut 

Jin also commented on some fans post. When a fan enquired whether the idol will make his acting debut, he replied, “I don’t have plans to act”. Commenting on another fan’s post mentioning J-Hope's return countdown, Jin talked about bandmate J-Hope's military discharge. The singer wrote, “J-Hope, there’s not much time left. Come out and work hard. I took a day off after being discharged from the military.” 

Jin teases new album 

Earlier this month, replying to a fan’s post on Jimin’s upcoming album ‘MUSE’, Jin wrote, “Jimin, I’m next. I’m going to sing, too.” He went on to accept bandmate J-Hope's proposal to debut as a subunit once the rapper returns from the military.

About Jin’s recent activities 

BTS singer Jin recently returned after completing his mandatory military service. He hosted an in-person fan event, where he held a free hug event for thousand lucky fans, on the BTS 11th debut anniversary. The singer also sang his hits and performed on Jungkook’s ‘Seven’. 

On the musical front, Jin has been dropping hints of a new album for a while. ‘The Astronaut’ was his last song, which was released before his military enlistment. It was co-written by Coldplay. If rumours are to be believed, there might be another collaboration on the cards for Jin and Coldplay, as their upcoming album is titled ‘Moon Music’ and Jin is also called ‘Moon’ affectionately by his fans.
